Escape Tin: Survival & Compass is an offline survival guide and navigation app for hikers and outdoor users. Features: (1) a compass that reads the phone's magnetometer/rotation sensors and shows heading, the sensor's own accuracy class, magnetic declination computed on the device, a bearing lock, and "back to camp" distance and direction to a point the user marks; (2) a rescue card that shows the user's current GPS position as an MGRS grid reference and latitude/longitude, with a button that opens the phone's own SMS app with a pre-filled message containing the location — the user chooses the recipient and sends it themselves, the app never sends anything on its own; (3) SOS signalling: Morse SOS with the camera flashlight (or the screen if no flashlight), a whistle sound, and a red night-vision mode; (4) navigation without a compass: sun position and analog watch method, shadow stick timer, North Star and Southern Cross sky charts computed from date, time and position; a spirit level and slope meter; (5) an offline step-by-step survival guide (first aid basics, being lost, water, cold, shelter, fire, getting found) with illustrations. The guide is general information, not medical advice and not a substitute for training or emergency services. Monetization: optional auto-renewing subscription "Escape Tin Pro" sold through Google Play Billing (weekly, monthly, yearly; the weekly plan may start with a paid 3-day introductory period at a reduced price, then renews at the regular weekly price until cancelled in Google Play). Pro unlocks comfort features (multiple waypoints and GPX export, satellite view, barometer, extra theme). All life-safety features (guide, compass, rescue card, SOS) are free. No ads. No user accounts or sign-in. Permissions: precise and approximate location (only while the app is in use, to show coordinates, back-to-camp and sun/star calculations), flashlight (camera torch, no photos or video are taken), vibration. Internet is used only by Google Play Billing for purchases.
